You will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most visited park in Uganda, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a haven for half of the total mountain gorilla species in the world.
It has four sectors and up to nineteen gorilla families, of which you will track one in any of these different sectors.
At Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will engage in a game drive, tree-climbing lion tracking, and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
Other activities over the five days include photography at the equator and an exciting community tour with the Batwa pygmies.

Detailed 5-Day Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
At the agreed time and place, our company representative will meet and brief you about the trip before embarking on a rewarding 7-8 hour drive to the medley of wonders, Queen Elizabeth National Park.
During the drive, enjoy breathtaking views of captivating landscapes, rolling hills, and magnificent African homesteads.
Lunch will be taken en route as you arrive at the park in the evening, observing different park residents while continuing to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After breakfast, spend about 3-4 hours actively traversing the Kasenyi sector and other parts of the park in search of prey and predators in their territories. You stand a chance of spotting lions, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, bushbucks, zebras, Uganda Kobs, and many more.
Beyond mammals, enjoy the captivating landscape, birds such as crowned cranes, Rwenzori Turacos, lovebirds, egrets, and many more; flora and primates like baboons and monkeys. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a rewarding boat cruise on the vast Kazinga Channel, home to numerous schools of hippos, aquatic birds, and crocodiles, to mention a few. At close range, observe these creatures swimming as you capture amazing photos. Return to your lodge at nightfall for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start the day with a delicious breakfast at the lodge before checking out for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an encounter with endangered mountain gorillas. From Queen Elizabeth National Park, take the Ishasha sector route, where there will be a two-hour game drive while tracking the rare tree-climbing lions in their territory.
You may be lucky to encounter these tree-climbing lions lounging on tree branches or patrolling their natural habitat. Proceed with the drive after lunch to the park, register upon arrival, and check into your lodge late in the evening for dinner and a peaceful sleep.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Pygmies Encounter
After breakfast, go gorilla trekking in the park. The adventure begins with a pre-trekking briefing by ranger guides who will explain the trekking rules and regulations, assign trekkers to a troop of their choice, and then head out for the rewarding search.
The trekking is done on foot and lasts approximately 1-6 hours, plus an additional hour for photos and questions with the ranger guide about the gorillas. Bwindi is home to half of the total number of mountain gorilla species in the Virunga chain of mountains, feeding and relaxing in four sectors.
Focus on the active group, young stars playing, the gentle giant silverback, and mothers breastfeeding their young.
Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch before visiting the Batwa pygmies in their communities to hear stories about their life as hunters and gatherers in the lush tropical forests of Bwindi and Mgahinga Forest. Encounter some of the shortest people on earth before returning to the lodge at sunset for supper and a peaceful night.
Day 5: Departure
After a delightful breakfast at the lodge, check out for a transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. The drive is exciting, with rewarding views of Ankole long-horned cows, scattered homesteads, and the magnificent equator demonstration. Make an en-route stopover to watch the demonstration, take photos, and enjoy a mouthwatering lunch.
