Flights to Kidepo only operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You depart from Kampala at 11:00 am (EAT) and arrive in Kidepo at 2:00 pm (EAT).
For your return route, you will depart Kidepo at 3:00 pm and arrive in Kampala at 4:30 pm to mark the end of your Uganda safaris adventure.
Day 1: Fly to Kidepo Valley National Park
Today, you depart from Kampala by flight. The flight departs at exactly 11:00 hrs and arrives at 14:00 hrs. Upon arrival in Kidepo, you will check in to your lodge and embark on an evening game viewing drive.
This drive will enrich your evening with stunning views of the famous Narus River Valley.
An evening game viewing drive at the Narus River Valley offers an opportunity to watch herds of Elephants, Cape Buffaloes, Jackson’s Hartebeest, and other species of mammals.
Day 2: Game Viewing in Kidepo National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will embark on a guided hike via the Lamoj Mountains through to the River Valley of Kidepo.
This valley features a large borassus palm forest and offers panoramic savanna landscapes. It also provides one of the best views of the Narus valley, an attraction located southwest of the park.
You will explore close to the park’s boundary with Sudan before returning to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Karamojong homesteads for a cultural experience. Interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.
Day 3: Fly to Kampala & Departure
Wake up early for a morning game viewing drive. This drive aims to spot wildlife species that you may have missed the previous day.
It will last approximately 4 hours and you can expect to see animals like Zebras, Rothschild Giraffes, various antelope species, Cape Buffaloes, and more.
After the drive, return to your lodge to freshen up, relax, have lunch, and depart on the afternoon flight at 15:00 hrs.
Upon reaching Kampala, you can proceed to catch your departure flight or be dropped off at a chosen accommodation facility.
