Detailed 2-Day Lake Mburo Safari Itinerary
This 2 Days Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari offers an exceptional wildlife experience. Lake Mburo, less visited compared to other parks, provides very enjoyable wildlife moments.
It is one of those surprising virgin wildernesses that you should visit at all costs.
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Our safari guide will pick you up at your accommodation facility in Kampala and transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park by road.
You will drive through the towns of Mpigi, Masaka, Lyantonde, and then Mbarara, where you will branch off towards the park.
Along the way, you will have a brief stopover at the Drum Makers’ Village to see some local Ugandan works before continuing your drive to the park for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will head for a boat ride on Lake Mburo where you will see animals like crocodiles, hippopotamuses, fish eagles, topis, and several other species of wildlife.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Departure
Enjoy a light breakfast in the morning and head for a game viewing drive. This is your chance to see nocturnal species of animals as they return to their hideouts.
You will spot Zebras, Elands, Warthogs, Impalas, Topis, and more wildlife species.
The game viewing drive should last about 3 hours. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, freshen up, and then embark on another game viewing drive as you exit the park.
On reaching the main road, have lunch at Igongo Cultural Center, make a stopover at the equator for a magical experience, coffee, and photography before completing your journey back to Kampala to catch your departure flight.
