A single-entry visa designed specifically for travelers is the e-tourist visa. It allows the holder to travel to Uganda for vacations, sightseeing, or visiting friends and family who are permanent residents or citizens of Uganda.
This visa cannot be used to look for work in Uganda, as it is only for tourism and other non-economic social activities.
Applicants can apply online and do not need to visit the Ugandan embassy or consulate in their country. Once approved, the electronic visa will be sent to their email.
They must print the confirmation and bring it to Uganda as proof.
The Ugandan government has introduced a system for computerized pre-approval. Before arriving in Uganda, all visitors must complete an online application.
For tourists whose applications are accepted, the visa will be issued and printed at the Immigration Office Headquarters at the point of entry.
Upon arrival, biometrics will be collected. We will guide you through the pre-approval process.
