One of the most popular activities in Uganda is game drives. These allow visitors to explore the savannah plains in a comfortable 4WD pop-up safari vehicle for clear animal viewing.
A professional driver-guide, who knows the different game tracks well, leads the game drives.
Night Game Drives in Uganda
Uganda also offers night game drives, allowing visitors to explore the Savannah national parks at night using spotlight torches. This is a great way to see nocturnal animals that become active after dark.
Night game drives are available in Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls, and Lake Mburo National Parks.
An armed ranger from the Uganda Wildlife Authority will accompany you during the night game drive and help you spot nocturnal animals such as lions, leopards, hyenas, civets, porcupines, genets, bush babies, nightjars, serval cats, banded mongooses, side-striped jackals, bush pigs, honey badgers, aardvarks, black galagos, and hippos feeding at night.
