This package offers two options to suit your budget. The flying option includes two game drives and a launch cruise, while the road option includes one boat cruise and a game drive.
Queen Elizabeth can be reached in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes by flight or 8 to 9 hours by road. Please see the detailed safari plan below.
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, you’ll travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. If flying, depart Kampala at 8:00 am, arrive at Mweya Airstrip by 9:30 am, enjoy a three-hour game drive, and then have lunch at your lodge before an afternoon boat ride on the majestic Kazinga Channel.
The boat ride offers incredible wildlife sightings along the water banks, including crocodiles, hippopotamuses, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species.
Note: For those traveling by road, depart Kampala at 5:30 am to arrive at the park by 2:00 pm and catch the 3:00 pm boat trip.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala
Start your day with an early breakfast followed by a morning game drive as you depart the park. This drive offers a chance to spot nocturnal animals rarely seen during the day. If fortunate, you might even see the famous Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions.
On the return journey to Kampala by road, stop for lunch at Agip Motel Mbarara, then make another stop at the Equator before continuing to Kampala.
If flying, you’ll be booked on the 2:00 pm flight, allowing time for a morning game drive, breakfast at the lodge, refreshment, and arrival in Kampala by 4:00 pm.
