2 Days Uganda Gorilla Tour Overview
This 2 Days Uganda gorilla safari can be carried out in three ways. The first is arriving from Uganda and departing from Uganda, second is arriving from Rwanda and departing from Rwanda and lastly, arriving from Uganda and departing from Rwanda. The best way is making your entourage through Rwanda and departing from there. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is just 4 hours away from Kigali City.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Depending on where you arrive from (Uganda or Rwanda), you will have to transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by road or flight. If you are travelling from Kampala, you will make a stopover at the Equator for coffee and photography, another in Mbarara Town for lunch and then climax your drive to Kisoro.
For those travelling from Kigali – Rwanda, you will have a brief city tour and then head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the northern province of the country.
If you happen to take a flight from Kampala, you journey will become less tiresome as you will only spend a maximum of 2 hours flying.

Time: 4 hours by road from Kigali, 8 hours by road from Kampala and 2 hours by flight from Kampala.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Rise and have an early morning breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for the 7:30 pre-briefing meeting. It is from this meeting where the park officials will make all the necessary communications regarding gorilla trekking. You ought to pay extreme attention as they speak.
Immediately after the meeting, you will be divided into groups of 8 and assigned random mountain gorilla families to visit. Gorilla trekking is a very physical activity that can last from 2 up to 8 hours depending on how long you take to locate the gorillas. To simplify this process, several park rangers move ahead and locate the gorillas so as to guide your group to the right path and save time. When you meet Ugandan gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with them and return to the park headquarters for your respective gorilla tracking certificates after.
After the trek, you will immediately transfer to Kigali City to catch up with your departure flight. Departing through Kampala is a risk as your trek might last longer than you think unless your departure is scheduled for the next day.
