It is shared by both Rwanda and Congo (called Visoke in Congo) but its biggest part falls in Rwanda.
2 Days Gorilla and Bisoke Crater Hike Tour Overview
This tour calls for an early morning departure on the first day. This is because you have to be at the park offices by 07:00 hrs for the briefing meeting before you climb mount Bisoke. On the second day, you will have another morning meeting specifically for gorilla trekking.

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Bisoke Crater Hike
Early in the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from your location and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. When you reach, you will attend the morning briefing and then transfer to the Bisoke Crater Hike starting point to get set for your adventure. This mountain takes 2 – 4 hours to ascend and approximately 2 hours to descend depending on your physical status. At the summit is a crater than spans about 400 meters in diameter. The views are awesome and you will take lifetime photographs from here.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing before heading to the jungles to trek gorillas. The trek usually lasts for 2 to 8 hours basing on how much time you take to find the mountain gorillas. This time is inclusive of a 1 hour experience with these primates.
After trekking gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters for your respective gorilla tracking certificates and transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure.
