Best Gorilla Tour Packages 2018 / 2019
Having organized multiple gorilla safaris in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo, we have a lot of confidence in organizing such tours for our future clients. So what makes us special? Much as tourists are allocated to random mountain gorilla tour families, early communication can allow us to influence the kind of group you are getting assigned to. Gorillas have characters like humans! Some are humble, some are polygamous and seek more pride from snatching others women and turning them into wives, some are harsh, some are ambitious and some are protective. If you are a humble person in reality, it is recommended to track a group with likely characters.

The gorilla permits cost $600 all year round, which is $900 lesser than the $1500 price of Rwanda permits and $150 more expensive that Congo gorilla permits. Congo is still a mystery and not so many tourists travel there for gorillas. However, ever since Rwanda hiked their permits fees, tourists now prefer to go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda or Virunga National Park in Congo.
How much are gorilla tours
Mountain gorilla tours are one of the most expensive types of tours you will ever come across. Permits are quite expensive; $450 for Congo, $600 for Uganda and $1500 for Rwanda. This alone already puts your safari high by that amount. When you add on other facilities and services like accommodation, meals and transport, you get to incur more costs.
Choosing your gorilla safari packages
Choose a package that favors your wallet-size, duration and physical status. If you doubt your physical fitness but feel your wallet is huge, book a gorilla safari in Rwanda. The trek in Rwanda is very much easier compared to the one in Congo and Rwanda. This is partly because of the elevation in these respective parks.
When to go for a gorilla tour
Gorilla hiking in the mud can be tricky. You get worried so often about sliding or getting rained on in the jungles. To avoid all this, schedule your gorilla trekking safaris for the dry season. Planning your tour for the months of June to September or December to February should just be fine.
